Last spring I paaid for 2, steak tomato plants, ended up being cherry tomatos

Every year I get two steak tomato plants, from Alco. Last spring I bought to plants with the little plastic name stuck in it so I was sure to hhave right plants. A few weeks later my daughter calls, and says something is wrong with you tomatoes. So I went down there, they were, Cherry Tomato's. So i took pictures, and small bowl of the tomatos, with the receipt, and the plastic tag from the plant back to Alco, and being treated very rudely, the manger or assistant mamager rudely told me they had to more steak tomatoo plants or she would just give me, two. So instead she hand wrote a receipt for 25% off for 2 tomato plants for 2015 season. I still wasn't extremly upset, I live on disability all I wanteed was fresh tomato sandwiches, and she's gonna give me only 25% off. Then the store announces it's closing, I take the receipt to atleast get the cash or something for the coupon and the manger saaid sorry, to bad. Duckwall- Alco Store #267 receipt dated 7-7-2014, signed by Mandy, last name looks like Ford. I think I deserve to be rfunded the entire price.

Duckwall Alco - Trio Stealth G2 Review from Bryan, Texas

I bought my sister a Trio Stealth g2 tablet for her Birthday in November. I also paid for a 2 year warranty for the tablet. It has crashed already' she lost everything on it. She called in to register it for the extended warranty, but she has been told without the original receipt nothing can be done. The first year was suppose to be free anyway. I want a new tablet or my money back. I am beyond pissed.

Dont buy this tablet it is a piece of s _ _t. Every thing that can go wrong with it happens.

I currently use mine upside down. To tell the problems are to numerous to mention.

It turns off in the middle of typing. If you want to waste money buy it!

You are on a general complaint site and we aren't going to do anything for you. In order to get any results you have to go the ALCO web site.

The female store manager from ***!!!!

The day before yesterday I went into Alco because the store is closing (thank God and praise sonny Jesus!!!) And thought I might get some good deals. Well the items I got were all marked 20% off. So I got up to the register to pay and I got sidetracked by the t.v.'s and I payed and I admit I forgot to get the receipt with my change. When I got home I added everything up and it came out to full price. Now, don't get me wrong I screwed up I know that and I accept my responsibility, but the way I was treated the next day blew me out of the water. I went back and hardly got my foot in the door when the female manager from came up to me and asked "what do you need" I started to explain my situation when she cut me off and told me"I adjusted the registers to the 20% off and you got what you deserved." I was so shocked I just left and thought I would e-mail Alco and tell them what she did and how she treated me. I've been a pretty loyal customer and at one time an employee of Alco but I'll tell you what never again and I will go out of my way to tell everyone I know to stay away from Alco.

Store closing sold expired defective car battery and wont refund

I bought a car battery from the local ALCO. I got it home and it was completely discharged!! It will not hold charge. In further inspection the battery had been shelfed at the store for more than 3 years. Stores generally send car batteries back to the manufacturer every 6 month's to a year if not sold. This is the practice of a "good retailer". Unlike, ALCO which when we returned notice all batteries had been shelfed since 2010. Now since "all sales are final" they won't refund or even exchange for other store merchandise my purchase. So I'm out money plus still have no form of transportation until I can afford to get another battery. Partially my fault but also the store should have been liable for refund. The store says all sales are final but according to consumer reports this phrase as well as similiar phrases such as "sold as is" are not legal. Alco should've never sold an expired discharged battery especially since they are going out of busisness and want to pull the "all sales are final" bull ***! I have taken legal action and will let corporate know that first thing tomorrow! A store should never knowingly sell defective items especially when they know they are defective and don't care because they are "going out of busisness"!

Bad product

I bought the shed pal They don't work like the tv says they do they are a RIPOFF if your going to sell something you need to make sure they will work correctly . Rhetoric are a few as seen on Tv items that I have purchased that I would say.I do enjoy cuz they do work but this is not one of them . It has no suction it is plastic it doesn't stay running keeps suiting off. The grooming part works it just doesn't suck the hair into the holder. IT IS JUST A BIG JOKE.

Didn't Need to be Yelled At.

Duckwall-Alco stores have a location in Pilot Point, TX. This particular Alco used to have my mother as a manager, but she left after some scandal with two of the other managers. I don't know much about that, as I was not in town for the whole event. Today, however, I learned much more about the scandal than I ever wanted to know. I stopped in, hoping to pick up a few needed items. While getting shampoo, I hear two associates gossiping. About my mother. After a few minutes of hearing how horrible, ***, evil, etc, she was, I walk to them, and let them know, as politely as possible, that they should be careful about conversations like that on the sales floor. People in a small town will overhear it, etc. I also let them know that I was the daughter of who they were talking about, and that I was offended. The two associates apologized, and I went to the cashier to pay. I also wanted to let the manager know that I had been VERY angry, and that associates should be told to keep personal gossip like that OFF of the sales floor. The manager, Whitney, was at first VERY casual about the whole thing. She tried to play it off as something that that particular employee was being asked to watch for. Then, Whitney discovered that I was the former manager's daughter. She began yelling at me, telling me all the evils my mother had committed, such as exposing some sordid sexual affair between other managers. I don't care. I went in as a paying customer, and nicely asked that employees in a small town not trash-talk my family, since gossip travels, and I was offended. Whitney did not care, and continued to trash talk my mother, using alleged former actions to justify her own poor customer service, lack of professionalism, and and exceedingly rude manner. I don't care if some supposed affair ruined this manager's marriage. I just want to buy my shampoo without hearing what a **** my own mother is. I will not shop there again, and I am asking my friends and customers to boycott Alco, as well. I will be speaking to a lawyer about the situation.
